Christmas is hours away
After the tiresome Christmas concert and a Panuluyan skit, my time to relax had not yet been coming. Noche Buena’s next and I couldn’t wait. But I supposed it would be uneasy especially when your family is a super-extended one. What I mean is your family together with your aunts, uncles and cousins and their boyfriends and girlfriends. It is still a Merry Christmas! Merry...

Something to blog about!
Okay! My sister’s persuasion to attend the Simbang Gabi for her was something to be grateful. Actually, I’m not used into attending Christmas evening masses due to the fact that a lot of people would go streaming down the church. You would see those oh-look-at-me girls and those emo guys and a lot of chatterboxes and romantic couple who would make the church a dating place. That was...

"Lason"
The Malaala Mo Kaya episode aired last Saturday was a great portrayal of the real life. The story was about a young widow (Judy Ann Santos) who lost her husband and struggled to raise her four children. She became too emotional and unconsciously neglected her life and her children. The striving became harder when she erroneously realized that she’d got nothing to continue giving her...

Last minute review
I never expected that it could help. My Chemistry teacher, back in my high school said that a last-minute review would not help. The retention level of a person was being affected if he was in a rush and excitement [cramming!]. It depends upon the person, I guess. If you keep yourself calm and under control, you’ll find that a last-minute review really works, especially when you’re...

[un]expected win and unexpected loss
Philippines was celebrating last Sunday with the victory of Manny Pacquiao. The next day, all the news shows would go consuming the half of their time in delivering the win of Manny Pacquiao. You would hear the reporters and news anchors summarizing the happenings in each boxing round [some were giving their own words regarding the fight]. Just as usual, news could be one of the things that were...

Notes for singing
I thought I was going to be late for our choir practice. Had to finish all the laundry while my parents and siblings were away. Thank God they were not yet starting—-without me [supposition!]. I thought I would have to adapt my voice again into choral singing. We were not to spend an hour of two for another singing because our choirmaster just shared some backgrounds for note-reading....

Last Movie Syndrome
Hahahaha! It could be. Before wishing to watch Twilight and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince [2009], I resolved myself by watching Spiderman 1 and 2 for the fourth time! It became my Last movie Syndrome [ because there was a so-called Last Song Syndrome]. I’m an avid fan of this movie. I’d also watched the third installment once and since then I did not get to chance watching it...

the holidays
Christmas is just around the corner and I don’t know what will be the family’s plan this yuletide season. Monetary supply is the obvious issue, of course. Everyone in the family may be looking for ham, spaghetti, salad, cakes…. But mama says that buko pandan and graham cake will be enough. She is telling us to save up if we wish to have a simple Red ribbon or Goldilocks. I...

gravy and literature
I thought I could not answer the quiz questions in literature. I was so tensed because I did not get to review thoroughly. The temperature also heightened some different kind of temperament inside of me. I should have brought my jacket. Why would I think that the gravy might leak?
